Kofte
In this corona situation i want all of you to cook at home and eat healthy. Homemade meatballs known as kofte are the best things to happen on your dinner table. These are spicy and tasty. Kofte is very easy to made at home and that are much tastier than store bought ones.Ingredients for Kofte(Meatballs):
250 gm Mince Beef (Qeema)
2 tbs Poppy seeds (khashkhaash)
1 Medium Onion (chopped)
1 tbs Gram Masala Powdered
2 Green chilli (chopped)
1 tbs Red chilli flakes
2 tbs Roasted Gram flour (Besan)
Instructions:
For Meatballs (Kofte)
1: Take mince beef in a large bowl.
2: Soaked and grind Poppy seeds, and add in it.
3: Add chopped onion in it.
4: Add gram flour(roasted), gram masala, green chilli, red chilli flakes.
5: Using your hand, mix everything well. Knead it for about 4-5 minutes, and make 14-15 equal portions of the mixture, roll each portion gently into round ball . Put these aside.
Ingredients for Curry:
1 Cup Oil
4 Medium Onions (chopped)
1 tbs Ginger Garlic Paste
1 tbs Red chilli powdered
1/2 tbs Turmeric powdered (haldi)
100 gm Yogurt
1 cup oil
Salt for taste
Instructions:
For Curry1: Take pan,Heat the oil and add chopped onion, stirring often for 7-8 minutes , or until golden on medium flame then add ginger garlic paste, red chilli powdered, haldi(turmeric) powdered, salt and yogurt cook well for 4-5 minutes or until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.
2: Add 2 cups water and raise the heat to bring to a boil. When the water comes to a boil, lower the heat to the lowest setting. Once it has stopped boiling, arrange the kofte in a single layer.
3: Raise the heat to medium, cover and allow it to cook for 10 minutes. Uncover and gently stir the kofte. Lower the heat to low-medium. Cover and allow it to simmer for another 30-35 minutes, stirring once in between, until cooked through.
4: Taste and add salt, if needed. Sprinkle in Garam Masala and Coriander leaves. Serve hot.
